Can anyone help me find a Chanel pearl bracelet?

Hi,
I'm probably clutching at straws here but I'm trying to find a used single strand pearl bracelet by Chanel for DD's 21st birthday next week.
I've looked at eBay but wouldn't be able to verify authenticity so would rather buy from a jeweller or trusted source.
I've tried my local auction places, jewellers and scoured online but have come to a dead end.
Don't s'pose anyone has any ideas?
Thanks Smile

Do you mean the imitation pearl one?

WeevilKnievel · 15/07/2014 14:45

I'm not sure if it's imitation, doesn't look like it.
I'd really like the 'classic' looking one - small pearls.
I'll see if I can post a pic later.

I think most of the Chanel ones are costume jewellery.... Unless it costs two grand, in which case perhaps not! But their fine jewellery is really very expensive.

That's not to say you shouldn't want it! just checking what you're after.

This may sound very obvious, but have you contacted Chanel for help?

rootypig · 15/07/2014 14:55

Cross post, sorry - I'm fairly certain those ones are costume. Are the prices in the range of the hundreds?

Carpaccio · 15/07/2014 14:57

Chanel's shops should sell them. I think they still take orders over the phone, but you could call them to check :)
I personally wouldn't buy them anywhere else as there are so many fakes around.

I do think it's expensive for costume jewellery though. I'm not sure they wear that well.

cardamomginger · 15/07/2014 15:11

you could try high end dress agencies that sell second hand stuff.

Pandora's Dress Agency in Knightsbridge does a lot of Chanel, including jewellery.

Even if you can't find one near you, you might find somewhere willing to post one to you (assuming they have it of course!)

If I were you in would definitely get in touch with the store. Are you in the UK? If so Bond Street or Harrods, or Brown Thomas if you're in Ireland.
There are fakes EVERYWHERE and even consignment store make mistakes.
The pearls are costume jewellery and there probably isn't a massive difference price wise between brand new and second hand anyway.
You're the best mum in the world!! She'll be blown away Smile

WeevilKnievel · 15/07/2014 15:40

No, sadly I can't afford two grand, have seen (sold ones) priced in the hundreds so I guess they must be costume jewellry.
Makes me question if it's worth the money really. I thought they'd be real pearls at a few hundred quid
Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll call Chanel.

The one pictured isn't by authentic Chanel anyway, the black tag is wrong and a real Chanel bracelet wouldn't have a little gold disc like that hanging off it.

Back in the 90s when my mother used to buy a lot of Chanel costume jewellery, the prices were in the mid-hundreds so lord only knows what they'd cost now.

Good luck OP! It's also worth looking on Vestiaire Collective :)

Icantcook · 15/07/2014 15:45

What about this piece of costume jewellery ?

www.chanel.com/en_GB/fashion/products/costume-jewellery/g/s.metal-bangle-with-pearls-and-a.14S.A85151Y02066Z2048.cat.bra.html. Less than £400

WeevilKnievel · 15/07/2014 16:58

Thanks for all the suggestions,
Funnily enough Carpaccio, I had earmarked that Tiffany one before I thought of getting Chanel.
DD is a fashion student and her fashion icon is Chanel so I thought that would be pretty cool, as well as pearls being classic for her 21st, ( and she likes pearls!)
Have called Chanel, and they're getting back to me.
Will try Pandoras dress agency too.
Icantcook - I like that one but didn't want to get anything too fashionable iyswim.

Chanel custome jewellery is very expensive, there is a vintage site ,very well trusted that sells chanel, but my opinion is to get it from chanel store,as even if the item is vintage or used its will only be £200-300 cheaper than brand new ones, because everyone still want to cash on used Chanel,

Indiya5 · 15/07/2014 17:36

Achica are currently selling vintage Chanel
