Too much leopard print?

I'm getting some luvverly leopard print ballet pumps today, to wear with jeans and a plain T shirt / vest - was going to use a leopard print scarf as a belt, do you think that would be too much?

Think less is more.

Tutter · 12/09/2006 11:51

yes.

wouldn't try to co-ordinate at all with leopard print - too high a risk of 'doing a bet'.

keep everything else low key. all black with leopard pumps would look stylish imo.

FoghornLeghorn · 12/09/2006 11:52

Have seen some lovely leapard print pumps with a red trim around the edge, trouble is, I saw them on someone's feet and not in a shop so no clue where they are from.

Don't think it would be too much, think the trick with leopard is to do little splashes or else you'll look like Bet Lynch.
Speaking of Bet Lynch, Next have a coat that would be right up her street

Fimbo · 12/09/2006 11:52

Yes, but then I am not a leopard print kind of gal.

MamaG · 12/09/2006 11:53

Conflicting opinions...thought it'd be ok for belt & shoes - but not clothes, bag etc...

Any more opinions?

French Sole do them. Pricey but really pretty.

i really like leopard print shoes, but i dont think i would team them with a leopard print scarf, tbh, sorry

MamaG · 12/09/2006 11:54

Not even used as a belt NP? I'm not a scarf type of person, but do like them as belts

Tutter · 12/09/2006 11:56

would look like you're trying too hard imho.

MamaG · 12/09/2006 11:58

Trying to hard to what, exactly - be Bet Lynch

I'll scrap the belt idea then, thanks

Had to get black sequinned pumps instead until they come in as I couldn't bear to not have any new shoes
