Ladies, help a sister out!! It's now 1 month pp and having left attractive milk stains on all my bf vests (thanks to my dd being a messy eater), so I need to restock my nursing wardrobe and am considering a nursing bra to give a bit more support to the ladies. My question....

What do you wear wear a nursing bra with? I would assume wearing it with a nursing vest or bf top would be require too much coordination, but if you wear it just under normal clothes how do you keep your tummy covered? And do the cups get in the way when folded down?

Patterns are good for hiding milk stains. Some wear a vest under a top so you lift one top and pull vest down so baby gets to breast but your belly is covered.

I wore a vest under a top, vest comes down, top comes up no stomach on display

As above - I wear a vest with a top over it - pull top up and vest down. Also wrap dresses or anything with buttons are good. Avoid going to your favourite clothes shops as it will just depress you to see all the lovely clothes that you can't wear!!

Yes vest top underneath. Vest and bra pull down under top, pull up outer top and latch baby on. With a bit of practice you can do it so quick no one can see a thing too. M&S do some nice vests with stretchy straps and I think they're only about £4 Smile

Another option is to wear a maternity bump band type thing instead of a vest - then your tummy stays covered but you don't have extra straps/neckline.

BTW, Jojo Maman Bebe do great striped Breton nursing
tops

I find it far too hot for layers, especially in this weather - and quite fiddly. I mostly wear wrap dresses, shirts/buttoned tops or just low cut stretchy tops.

It's been a while since I bf but I just made sure i wore something reasonably stretchy and hoiked it up (never down, felt too exposed that way) and the baby covered my tummy. Couldn't be doing with having to hoik up AND down at the same time. Too much faff....!
