This is the dress:

Shoes are tricky as I have fairly wide feet so often need to size up unless I can get wide fitting. I also have a missing toenail (I know, I am SO sexy Hmm) which can be painted on successfully but I would be better with peeptoe shoes than open-toed sandals, just for a bit of coverage.

I have a black lace dress I had been going to wear but I have decided that it's just not very August wedding.

Also so as not to drip feed, I tend to steer clear of T-bars and ankle straps because I have chunky short legs.

Have you got the dress yet ? I bought the butterfly one and it was really badly made.

I have some lovely suede-ette shoes that look like ballet pumps but have a very gentle wedge on them (I have to have shoes that are not totally flat as I have high arches and need proper shoes) they have a bow onthe front but not too twee. They did look nice with that shape of dress

The dress has arrived and it is fab, I'm so chuffed. I've already got a Lady V one and it was fine, sorry yours was badly made. I don't think they're amazingly tailored but for the price the quality is brilliant.

I've a couple of pairs of shoes to try with it so I'll see how they look and then decide what else to put with it :)
