Bleaching my hair at home...could I? Should I?

Have quite fine, thin hair. Been having it dyed for 12 years but finding it difficult to find time to get to the salon. Is this a terrible idea?

Depends, do you go all over bleach at the salon it highlights?

Personally I wouldn't risk it, especially highlights. All over bleach probably easier to do but are the home kits ever as strong? Everyone I've ever known that has done it has ended up with either ginger or khaki colours hair.
