Any others any better? Used the tiniest amount from the free sample, and even though it is supposed to be the "fair" one it is very dark.

L'oreal one is purple! when it comes out of the tube which made me go eek and not buy...

Need to have something with light coverage, am V pale, and don;t get on well with the mineral powder ones.

TIA

I had the same experience-on me the Garnier one was orange and horribly tacky and sticky. I like the Smashbox one.

GobblersKnob · 12/07/2014 18:30

I hated the Garnier one, I like the body shop one, the vit e one in one shade, it's lovely.

Cocolepew · 12/07/2014 18:32

I have the Olay one, its half price in Superdrug atm.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/07/2014 19:44

Yeah I binned mine. Botanics one is good.

Variety of opinions there but seems I'm not the only one with sticky garnier!

The bobbi brown one is lush! abit pricey though but you don't need much. I used to user the MAC one (I am pretty pale! ) and it wad a good colour.

ilove · 15/07/2014 08:29

That's the thing, I don't want to look like I've been tangoed! I am so pale.

I use the darker Garnier one only on my legs! They have a few scars on them and the heavier nature of the cream works well on my legs to give a bit of colour, moisture and to cover marks Smile

On my face I use the Clinique one, it's light and covers well.

lurkingfromhome · 15/07/2014 09:26

I like the Estee Lauder one. It has a nice dry feel to it. I too am very pale and don't feel tangoed in any way with this one.

VanGogh · 15/07/2014 09:27

I use an "anti shine" powder with my BB cream. Might help you?

TheCraicDealer · 15/07/2014 12:18

I still have a full tube of the Garnier stuff sitting in the house. As it's factor 50 I'm keeping it in case we go away again later in the year, but it just 'sits' on your face. Crap.

The L'Oreal one is actually very good and starts to change colour as soon as you apply it. I finish it off with a dab of powder which gives slightly more coverage when you need it.

I really like the Estee Lauder Daywear BB cream. I have it in Light and it does add a bit of colour - I can't wear it unless I have a tan.

I use Clinique City Block underneath as I don't believe that we generally use enough of the BB cream/foundation/tinted moisturiser to get the amount of SPF protection that's listed on the product.
Some websites are saying that we have to use 7 times as much foundation/tinted moisturiser to get the sun protection that's mentioned on the label.

Instead of using a BB cream, why not find a good tinted moisturiser or sheer/light coverage foundation and use it with a good SPF underneath?
Mac face and body and Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser (I use the oil free one) are great.

ilove · 15/07/2014 18:24

Never tried a tinted moisturiser - which are good? I have oily skin at the best of times so the garnier really didn't work for me at all!

The best TM in my opinion is Laura Mercier's. It's an oldy but a goody.

Carpaccio · 15/07/2014 18:38

tinted moisturisers are more or less the same as bb creams. The bb creams just have a fancier name.

ilove · 18/09/2014 11:07

I got the L'Oreal BB cream and I LOVE it!!!
