oh boden sweetie, no cheap high street rubbish there

Tutter · 11/09/2006 12:34

i wouldn't spend too much. however special the boy, they grow so quickly.

the nicest stuff ds has is from (gasp) mini-boden.

Tutter · 11/09/2006 12:35

baby gap stuff is also really good quality - but darned expensive.

NappiesGalore · 11/09/2006 12:39

if you want to splash out (for adults benefit as the kids dont notice obv, but you know that anyway) theres mini versions of Ralph Lauren, Armani Junior, MiniMan, etc...

(i know this coz my dp's x buys it for my step-son. mad, but some of it is beautiful)

personally, i like Petit Bateau stuff. and posh baby clothes boutiques always have other designers you never heard of.

NappiesGalore · 11/09/2006 12:40

you want me to look for links to websites?

TheBlonde · 11/09/2006 12:40

House of Fraser usually has a good selection of designer babywear

Tutter · 11/09/2006 12:41

be careful though wih petit bateau - their sizing can be odd. i was bought a couple of things from there for ds and they were meant for such skinny little babies. i gave them away to friends with girls who didn't mind boyish colours!

WelshBoris · 11/09/2006 12:43

Its going to get covered in mashed carrots sick wee and poo anyway

So try Poundstretcher

Tutter · 11/09/2006 12:45

lol wb. chief inspector of the ponce police.

NappiesGalore · 11/09/2006 12:45

hehe WB. of course you are right. but its a gift, dopey. its for appearances. the kids is 7mo fgs, he wont care if you wrap him in a pillowcase!

NappiesGalore · 11/09/2006 12:47

and PB sizes are wierd. if they say, for example, 12months, they mean UP TO 12months. and the vesty things do look tiny, i know, but they fit surprisingly chubby little people no problem.

NappiesGalore · 11/09/2006 12:48

ponce police! love it
