After being seriously impressed with collection 2000 concealer and no 17 phwoar paint I've been looking at other cheap make up. I used to completely over look it as it all used to be utter crap but they've really upped their game.

So Wilkos (don't laugh!) have a new range out-huge range and seriously cheap. 1.59 for nail varnishes and they are the same as the Rimmel salon pro ones-same formula and lovely flat thick brush. I only bought one but I will be doing more research asapGrin

Also a thin twist up long lasting eye liner which is fantastic, creamy, easy to apply and seems to stay put. About a quid tooShock

I got some palettes from makeup revolutions website and am impressed - for £4!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2014 13:56

Oh and collection 2000 waterproof mascara is fab too-started put even after bawling my eyes out! Think it was 2.99. I hate waterproof mascara usually.

Make up revolution?

OP posts:
goodasitgets · 10/07/2014 14:34

Google should find it Grin
It's a fairly new brand but getting good reviews

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 10/07/2014 14:36

Have you seen the new 17 false eyelashes mascara? Hated They're Real, but as this is half the price-tempted.

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 10/07/2014 14:38

Thanks for this OP.

I forgot to add if you're looking at the palettes it might be helpful to think iconic 1 = naked 1, iconic 2 = naked 2 and so on Wink
If you like urban decay... Wink

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2014 14:40

Is revolution just on line or in store too?

OP posts:
squoosh · 10/07/2014 14:42

Makeup Revolution is the only cheapo foundation to be pale enough for me. Shame the watery formulation doesn't suit my skin.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2014 14:42

Oh fuckery-worth a go if it's cheaper. I hate all benefit make up, most over hyped brand out imho!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2014 14:43

Good-thanks for the tip!

It's in superdrug - I think, I know it was meant to be launching in store soon

SouthernComforts · 10/07/2014 15:26

Have you tried ELF- Eyes Lips Face? I love some of their stuff and they often have free delivery/flash sale codes on fb/Twitter.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2014 16:17

Apologies, it isn't wiko's own brand. It's called Essence. On line reviews are great!

Essence is great! I've missed it while in the UK - I used to be able to buy it in the supermarkets in Switzerland. Their nail polishes and powder products are really good. They have limited editions coming out all the time and they are usually very interesting.

Apparently from the 17th of July it should be available in all Wilko shops and they also sell it online on wilko.com (where they have 3 for 2 on cosmetics at the moment).

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/07/2014 22:44

I went back and bought a lip liner which is lovely, just the right shade of pinky nude. Another 2 nail varnishes and another eye linerGrin the eyeliner is amazing, doesn't shift all day! I will be testing the mascara next when my no 7 one runs out.

Update-

Waterproof mascara is amazing, huge fat brush and the stuff doesn't shift until you take it off, it's like glue! I've been wearing the eyeliner and mascara in this heat and it doesn't budge.

The nail varnish it's still on my toes and hasn't chipped at all and I've been wearing the lip liner every daySmile

I will keep an eye out the next time I am in town. Has anybody used MUA by Superdrug? Need some new makeup for a couple of weddings I am going to over the summer.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/07/2014 07:48

I've used MUA but I find Essence better quality.

OP posts:
askyfullofstars · 22/07/2014 20:02

Ive used MUA lippy, sparkly kohl and nail varnish. Thought theyre ace. The nude lipstick is a great colour (have been searching for a decent nude for ages).

Snatchoo · 23/07/2014 08:07

I'm glad to read this, a lot of nail bloggers really rate the Essence topcoat. It just hasn't been cost effective to pay to import it before!

MUA have some new 'luxury' products - I have one of the lipglosses. Well, it's more of a lip matte - but it was £3 and is lovely!
