You can get various other brands of bead which will fit a Pandora bracelet, even Argos do some. I used to buy Biagi & Chamilia beads from an American site but it seems to be gone now, they started from $10.

Id advise to just buy what you can afford. So a bracelet and one or two carefully chosen beads and then they can be added to as and when.

I own a few bracelets and I dislike mixing the brands or buying cheap charms and your sister maybe the same.

Some stores like john greed and beadazzle do starter bracelets that are discounted so might be worth a look.

Pandora do a starter bracelet which is £99 and comes with a few beads. There are usually a few different options.
I work in Pandora and the fake charms I've seen do look noticeably cheaper and tackier compared to the real thing. I've also seen bracelets ruined by fake charms (they twist on the real deal so they can mess up the screw mechanism).

Beads and charms are the same thing really Smile you either have silver charms which can be objects/ characters/ mean something etc... Or the glass charms which are there to look pretty Grin

I agree with HelpMe. A pandora bracelet is a lovely gift, but I'd rather have it with one pandora charm than more, other cheaper versions. The beauty is she can add to it over the years, as can her family/friends. I'd rather have all pandora even if only one charm on it.
