Gap grey wool peacoat/cardigan - anyone else got one?

Does it wash well? Just bought one and I love it - only problem is that it is hand-wash only and I can't afford for it to go all mis-shapen.

I was umming and ahhing over whether to get this or to get two cheap-ish lightweight jumpers instead. Now I am a poor SAHM I don't have much money to spend on clothes this season... In the end I decided I would get one of these, as I can wear it over long-sleeve t-shirt and wide-legged trousers/jeans - which is pretty much my uniform nowadays. Plus if I'm up the duff again during the winter I can still wear it!

Feeling quite smug about my purchase actually - the lady at the till said that they only had 6 delivered yesterday, and last week grown women were fighting over the one on display in the shop window!

they're lovely seen them in all the mags! you could probably hand wash it in cold water then a quick spin and line dry or flat dry it if you can. haven't got one but have to do that with my woolies!

Sounds lovely - do you have a link/picture?

I got one too after my lovely friend, who is crazy (and childless), went and queued just as the store opened and snagged me one (she was after the grape sweater dress)

They are lovely I wish the weather hadn't turned hot in some ways as I want to wear it, lol.

I have other handwash things and always wash in cold soapy water, rinse under a slow stream with the shower and then hang it up on a chunky coat hanger, and keep checking and reshaping it if it looks droopy.

It is lovely! I've been looking for a picture, but can't find one. Maybe I'll take one myself later!

Thanks for the handwashing tips. I have a bad track record of ruining knitwear... AvaLou - I know what you mean about wanting the weather to turn cold! It is ridiculously warm today, I just want to get into my snuggly winter clothes already...
