I spent some of those skincare voucher things they keep giving me in Boots yesterday and I am very pleased with both things:

Boots Time Delay Instant Lip Plumper - this is weird, it actually makes your lips swell up so it definitely works. It looks like a normal lip gloss, but it has things like (I think) pepper and menthol in which make your lips tingle like mad and they get noticeably bigger

Boots Time Delay Repair Radiance Balm - you just rub in a few drops of this and it is a bit like a subtler version of BeneFit's High Beam. It gives you a slightly pearly, brighter complexion and is piss easy to put on. Lovely.

You can get a fiver off each of these with the vouchers they keep giving away, until Tuesday I think.

And finally I got Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara which is my favourite mascara I have tried for a while - it curls your lashes as well as making them longer, and is not clumpy.

Right that is enough girliness for me for the month, I think.

I have a brilliant beauty tip.

take 1 large pot of petroleum jelly, spread liberally onto your mirror. hey presto, flawless skin!

Sorry, feeling a bit flippant today

I read a tip once from Age Concern or somewhere which advised putting vaseline on your glasses if you want to know what it is like to be old

Aha, I thought so: just googled one of the ingredients of the lip plumper and it turns out to be the latin name for chilli pepper which would explain the intense tingling and the swelling

also has cinnamon, menthol, sunflower, aloe and jojoba oil in

Don't need to do that Franny - just leaving out my lenses does it for me

How much do you have to spend franny? i love the lip plumper...xx and wouldnt mind the mascara..xx

If you spend a tenner, you get a fiver off skincare. The mascara has just survived an hour and a half at the gym.
