I'm required to look like a grown up .... I lack grown up clothes.

The flip flops are more more comfortable will they be ok.

Ds prefers them to the shoes and he is my fashion guru.

I think you should sod grown up and wear one of each :o

dexter73 · 05/07/2014 14:35

You look gorgeous! Definitely the strappy sandals rather than the flip flops. I am no fashion guru though!

sonnybeaudelaire · 05/07/2014 14:42

Wear the stroppy and put the flip flops in your bag. Then swap when your feet start to hurt!

sonnybeaudelaire · 05/07/2014 14:42

Strappy even

leadrightfoot · 05/07/2014 14:43

The strappy ones are lovely
The fit flops probably more practical
but I'd be tempted (depending where you are wearing this to) to switch when the strappy ones get too much if you can take both
Best of both worlds then, sorry that was indecisive wasn't it.

Fit flops are a La mode or did I get make that up in a hopeful way?

Catnuzzle · 05/07/2014 14:44

Wear shoes, take flip flops. And that dress is fab!

BrokenCircleBreakdown · 05/07/2014 14:49

I'm with your DS, I think the flip flops look better.

HoneyDragon · 05/07/2014 14:59

Aaaarhh. It's too hard, the flip flops do have a little kitten heel, so are technically shoes

I'm glad you like my dress, it was £3.60 from La Redoute, I've just bought that one, a purple one and a turquoise one Grin

flip flops - I always go comfort with shoes Grin

wafflyversatile · 05/07/2014 15:11

you find them more comfortable. Your dh prefers them. go for the flip flops. Whatever makes you most comfortable will facilitate more enjoyment.

GypsyFloss · 05/07/2014 15:32

Love the dress. Definitely wear the strappy and take the flats.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 05/07/2014 15:44

It depends on the occasion I think...evening do? Strappy heels. Afternoon wedding/soiree? Flip flops are fine.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 05/07/2014 15:48

Sorry to disagree but your legs looks much better in the flip flops. The strapped sandals cut your ankles at the wrong place and make your legs look shorter.

polyhymnia · 05/07/2014 15:52

Yes flip flops much better

dexter73 · 05/07/2014 15:53

It's funny how people see things differently - I think the strappy sandals make the op's legs look longer than the flip flops!

HoneyDragon · 05/07/2014 16:04

It's a fairly casual pub evening event, but the attendees are very much well dressed, so I promised to make the effort Grin

Both are good. Which is more comfortable?

Amrapaali · 05/07/2014 16:09

£3.60?? As in three pounds and sixty pence? Fucking hell...!!

You look smashing! I like the flip-flops combo. Gives a casual edge and a devil-may-care attitude...

BookFairy · 05/07/2014 16:23

Oh fab dress! Could we have a link? I always go for comfort so I would probable go for the flip flops :)

HoneyDragon · 05/07/2014 16:33

It's this one

It was reduced further when I saw it, and I had a 50% off code too. Smile

Looks lovely on you OP.

Just had a look but sadly I think I'm a bit too dumpy for it. I like the flip flops FWiW

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 05/07/2014 16:41

Go with flip flops then! Strappy heels are too dressy for casual pub affair I think.

lurkingaround · 05/07/2014 16:43

I like the strappy. Put the flip flops in the bag.

HoneyDragon · 05/07/2014 18:03

It's very forgiving Smile
