Mih Marrakesh/other long flare jeans

Do you get them taken up (I'm guessing yes, otherwise I'd fall on my face), if so, to what height? Ie with shoes on/heels? Any experiences? I don't want to end up with them sailing around my ankles after I wash them too......

I take them up myself quickly and then try on. The idea is to see if i am happy with that length then take them to the alterations place and get them sewn properly. Well thats the idea. You could just alternatively use pins to see first. It depends upon your height. My alterations place has fitting rooms and they will take them up with pins for you then sew and collect later. I have had my jeans done and been too short. I couldnt bare wearing them so its def worth getting it right. It depends upon your height. Im 5ft 5 and i would say 31 inches is ideal for me but then i dont wear heels and i dont have really long legs either sadly!

Alternatively, place them up against a pair of jeans you like. Measure the difference. Pin them up and either sew quickly or just try them on pinned.

Wash them and dry them first, then pin them up with shoes on and take them to a tailor (or DIY if you are able). That's what I do - no ankle flappers so far.
