First date but I've known him years. We both used to work in the farming industry so ive only ever been seen looking windswept and muddy.
Im 25, 5ft 7 with blonde chin length hair with not much of a budget at all.
I'm a size 14 with a wobbly tummy too

Where are you going/what are you doing?

What do you like, dresses (length)? jeans?

H&M have lots of pretty sun dresses atm. Perfect with pretty flat sandals (ideal with your height).

MikeTheShite · 04/07/2014 08:38

Just a little country pub. Smile
I shall have a look Smile

Nice jeans, pretty top, sandals, but with toenails painted a bright colour, hair done nicely, nice bag etc.
Or summer dress and wedges, show a bit of leg.

kaykayblue · 04/07/2014 08:53

How about something like this

[http://www.newlook.com/eu/shop/womens/dresses/pink-floral-print-belted-bandeau-maxi-dress-_307141419 dress here]

with a simple cardigan on top, and a pair of flat sandals or flip flops? It's pretty but not at all over the top.

Then you just need to blow dry your hair and put some simple earrings in. Voila!

kaykayblue · 04/07/2014 08:54

gah I failed on the LINK

Koothrapanties · 04/07/2014 09:22

Kaykay that's a gorgeous dress, but op if you are like me and quite fair, that dress will make you look very washed out. I can't get away with pale neutrals at all!

WildFlowersAttractBees · 04/07/2014 10:16

I love THIS also in navy with tan sandals, satchel bag and nice necklace and bracelets.

I know I always feel better with my hair done and nails polished too!

FauxFox · 04/07/2014 10:47

cute dress it comes in navy too if the orange is not your thing, wedge heel sandals with it.
or
floral is cute too.

MikeTheShite · 04/07/2014 11:34

Wow thank you everyone. I love all of them!
Just need the confidence now Grin

Mike, if you aren't feeling too confident, don't go too dressy/formal or you will feel silly. Just find something a bit more casual that you are comfortable in. Surely anything will be an improvement on the farm gear! Good luck!

JeanSeberg · 04/07/2014 12:43

Is it a lunch or dinner date?

MikeTheShite · 04/07/2014 13:15

It's just an evening drink.
I have my eye on a cream skater dress too.
I might order a few to try.
With a toddler going in to a shop is hello!

Good luck. Let us know how it goes!

JeanSeberg · 04/07/2014 16:36

I'd keep it simple for a pub drink otherwise you could feel overdressed.

What's he likely to be wearing? How smart is the pub?

MikeTheShite · 04/07/2014 20:12

Its fairly smart.
I would imagine he is a jeans and a shirt guy

Dress too much for a pub

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 04/07/2014 20:34

I'd try to match what he's likely to wear. I went on a date with a guy who wore checked shirts in all his profile pics. I wore pink jeans with a pink and blue checked fitted shirt over a tight vest top. He liked it.

Next date was also a jeans/shirt guy, so I went for jeans and boots with a nice fitted top. Winner. He also chose clothes that reflected what I'd said I liked in my OD profile, so he obviously wanted to make the right impression too.

If he's a jeans and shirt guy, wear jeans and a nice top, pub is pretty informal so make sure you feel comfortable. Plenty of time for pretty dresses and jewellery when he takes you to a nice restaurant next time Wink

Enjoy your date.

JeanSeberg · 06/07/2014 19:01

Was the date this weekend Mike? How did it go?

MikeTheShite · 08/07/2014 11:39

Hi everyone.
We seem to both be really busy this week so have rearranged for Saturday.
