Hi, I hope i have posted in the right place as have not posted before. After a lot of searching for the perfect bra, or even one that fitted and felt comfy, I finally found one in Debenhams, bought it online ,I liked it so much bought a couple in different colours. The black one, which i wear the most, has got a wire sticking out of it, i have machine washed it on delicates in a laundry bag, it says on the label it is machine washable, but I don't think that is long to have a bra! I paid £20 for it, which I know isn't a massive amount but it is for me and I have bought similar priced ones elsewhere and they have lasted years. I contacted Debenhams customer service by email and they have told me that they do not refund or replace bras. I understand that I have had this a few months but this can't be right/ Has any one else had any experience of this please? I have the receipt of course as it is an online order.

They have to refund faulty goods but I'm not sure how long people expect a bra to last tbh

If it's had a lot of wear, it's not an unreasonable time for a bra to last.

I never have problems with wires sticking through but I've noticed that a lot of bra fabrics sag a lot quicker when a bra is getting on a bit.

TBH if you only have a couple of bras then 5 months isn't that bad. That said, I haven't lost a wire in years. Quite often it's a sign that the bra is just a little bit too small - sometimes one cup isn't that obvious but can put the wire under extra strain
