My boobs are too far apart!

Well either that, or I'm no longer fitting my bras properly Grin
I have always been a 34B, but recently my usuals (variety of sources, from M+S to Primark) hold one boob in but the other isn't quite covered.. at high risk of nipple popping out.. it doesn't look like they ae too small, but like my boobs have parted friends!

I tried a 32C instead but find it SO tight on the back and while it it slightly less 'apart' at the front it's still not really right.

Any suggestions? (I'm neither thin nor heavy, a 5 ft 7 9 1/2 stone 10-ish) if that makes any difference

First things first, can you measure following this guide?

I suspect that you are neither a 34B or a 32C but something quite different.

MarianForrester · 01/07/2014 23:10

The fantasie elodie bra shoves boobs right in at the sides, which I like.

Maybe bit pointy overall, but they are certainly not allowed to roam sideways Smile

I had the same problem, I thought I was a 34B. I was indeed a 34 but needed an E cup. How I didn't realise, I'll never know. Get the old tape measure out

justcallmethefixer · 02/07/2014 21:16

I've been wearing 34b or 32c for years and never felt they fit quite right. After following measuring advice on here I now have some 30f on order.
If I remember I will report back after trying as they should arrive tomorrow.

justcallmethefixer · 04/07/2014 20:43

Ok so they arrived (a day late) and it seems to fit, but it is a very different kind of fit as the bra now encases so much more if the chest area

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/07/2014 22:02

That's a really common difference to notice when you get a well fitting bra - they encase a lot more breast. Which bras did you go for though - there are some which are lower/wider that you might feel more comfortable in

This feels like a bit of a thread hijack but I would appreciate your advice statistically (sorry op)

I am trying a panache Zara plunge as from my reading a plunge should suit my shape and desired look, top/armpit fuller, wider set, I have spent a couple of hours in the black one and think it is too small (30f) as it was feeling that tight I have had to take it off. Tried on backwards the band is a good fit, with serious scooping I have a little overspill, but it seems that there is an area towards the bottom outside of the bra that is just covering my chest. If I prod it it feels fleshy so maybe I'm just not used to bras that don't perch on top but it does not feel full either which makes me wonder if a cup size up would be too big?

I have the same bra in white to try as well, but based on the info above what are your recommendations?

pinkflaming0 · 04/07/2014 22:39

I had that boobs too wide apart feeling too when wearing 34B bras. Wen one boob was in the cup the other cup was almost in the middle of my chest!

I thought I was just a weird shape and had to live with it. Putting on a 30DD was a revelation - all of both boobs in the cups and looks 100 times better. Thanks bra intervention ladies Smile

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/07/2014 23:07

It sounds like you probably need one more cup, and maybe a bra which has slightly different cup shapes. Although panache tend to be narrow some of them can be really wide (they're a bit variable that way!) but the cups can also be very deep so you can find that you have space at the bottom outside but overspill elsewhere. Imagine trying to put an orange in a glass - the bottom of the glass is empty but the orange is sticking out the top. Does that make sense?

It's a bit like jeans where even though you might have the "right size" (or as close as you get in that particular pair) they still don't fit your shape properly.

If you are looking for a plunge I would suggest trying Freya Deco, Bravissimo Satine, Curvy Kate Elegance and panache porcelain plunge. IME most people tend to fit one of them at least as they cover a wide range of shapes.
