Please help me find summery long sleeved tops to cover my compression sleeve!

Hi, I have to wear a compression sleeve on my arm due to mild lymphoedema after having my lymph nodes removed (breast cancer). It's fekkin ugly and I hate it, so am really self conscious of wearing short sleeved tops out and about.

I am not really good with hot weather - think heat rash, sunburn, dermatitis etc (argh!) - so need to cover up as much as I can, while staying cool. Impossible Sad

Can anyone recommend somewhere I can look for some nice cool long sleeved tops. I am 5' 5"ish, size 8/10, and an inverted triangle shape. I have wide shoulders, so tops need to be quite simple/plain or I look really frumpy. I look mahoosive in billowy kaftans etc. Help!

TIA to anyone who can help me Flowers

bird print
navy
striped
striped shirt
long sleeved cotton T available in lots of colours

What sort of things do you usually wear? Is it for work/at home? Would a kimono cover up work over your existing tops? They are 'in' at the moment and there are some pretty style that cover 3/4 length of the arm.

Linen is nice and cool
Jaeger
Hope all is well. I also had mild lymphoedema but no longer have to wear a compression sleeve.

Thank you for the replies. I really like the striped shirt! I usually wear long sleeve t-shirts in dark colours or stripes. It's for casual warm/hot weather wear and on holiday later in the summer.

I've looked at kimono style cover ups but not sure they may be a bit too flouncy for me - patterns don't really work on my top half (due to wide shoulders - I just end up looking big and blousy!).

jimmybim I was told it's a degenerative condition and can only get worse Sad Did yours get better/improve? How/why? I would love to not have to wear the sleeve.

You could use a pair of Wingz with a short sleeve/sleeveless top. I have a number of pairs (big scars, nerve pain, sometimes wear a compression glove) and they don't make you hot. The lace ones are really nice, and the chiffon is v pretty.

Have you seen the Lymphediva sleeves? Pricy, but prettier than beige!
