What do you think of this dress?

I have just ordered it to collect from Whistles.

Lovely! Very glam! Is it for a special occasion?

I love it. I am a bit curvy for that shape but I think it will be suitable for lots of occasions. It's very glam.

Hmm I'm not sure about the criss cross effect, I think it might make it look a bit cheap. Are there any pictures of someone in it somewhere?

That would look fab with a black blazer/cardigan and a caramel coloured bag.

I love it, but then I love so many of whistles dresses but have just had a bit of a splurge and couldnt quite bust the budget any further.
Silk and cotton too.

It's lovely and thick, quite structured. The only thing is whether I can get my generous hips into the 12" because I think the 14 will be too big on top.I was planning on having it for work 'best' with a nice black jacket or for christening etc. Was £250 now £65.00.

I also tried the Lk Bennett Blossa dress on today, which was gorgeous but £145 for a jersey dress is a bit much for my budget!

Here's a pic of it on a model (sadly I am older and fatter! ) and here's the Lk Bennett dress which was much nicer on. Q

Oh it does look nicer on the model, it's so much easier to visualise seeing a real person in clothes rather than just floating around on a white background.

I'd just be concerned about that third triangle box down lining up in an, um..unfortunate spot

What colour is your hair, OP? I think this would look really nice on an olive or dark-skinned brunette (like the model) but quite different on a blonde (especially if fake). That's probably not PC but I sort of feel that blonde and leopard-print don't mix that well (unless we're talking accessories).

Here's me, dark brown hair rapidly going grey ( I have held off hair dye but at 43 I think I am going to have to succumb now)- I have a skin tone which is best described as a light olive (mum was classic 'Black Irish'(very dark hair and pale skin) dad goes the colour of teak just looking at the sun!

Love the Whistles dress and love your hair - the blue dress isn't doing much for me though, sorry.

Thanks all for opinions- good to get other peoples views. I do ask my husband but to be honest he wouldn't notice if j was wearing a spacesuit!! :)
