Can someone please help me find a pair of trousers or jeans?

My beloved old jeans have worn through, and I can't wear them anymore. They were from Next and they say The Wide Leg inside, but Next don't seem to do them any more (fair enough, it has been about 4 years)

I tried to replace them the other day and all I could find was skinny jeans.

Have looked online and am struggling.

So:

I don't like skinny jeans or straight leg or tapered legs or leggings or anything of that ilk.
I like things with wide legs, or bootcut, or flare (I know, I know, I must be massively unfashionable, but there it is)

I don't like high waistbands, I don't care if they suit my shape better, I like a nice mid or low rise.

I don't like wearing black, navy is OK though. I don't mind, even quite like bright colours, or pastelly colours, or white. I prefer a pale rinse on jeans.

I don't like syntheticy fabrics (a bit of lycra for stretch is OK)

I don't want to spend more than about £40.

I am in my mid 30s, size 12, maybe 14. I would be hourglass shaped if I could shift the baby weight.

I am not in the UK, but I can shop online and get things delivered here (usually cheaper anyway).

Can anyone help?

Boden wide leg jeans? Bet they'll be in the sale soon (which is due apparently) or there's always a discount code around:

Ooh, those are just the sort of thing! Should I hold out for the sale, do things get snapped up quickly? I've only ever bought from their children's range.

I have those boden widelegs. They arent very wideleg tbh. I also had to go up a size in them as they dont have a generous waist esp if you have a mummy tummy. I know you want to only spend £40 but diesel jeans are the best. They are very expensive [about £110 or so] but they really flatter. I have 3 pairs of diesel louvboot in a variety of washes. I have lots of other jeans but always think these are the best and wear wear wear them. They are midrise. They slim your hips and make you look amazing. Try a pair. I bought all mine - not at once, from Next.

Pricey i know but they honestly are gorgeous jeans.

I have the Boden ones from last year (admittedly not this year's range) and found the fit was OK (I'm a size 8).

Greengardenpixie · 30/06/2014 12:45

They seemingly have changed the fit. They are slimmer in the thigh and tighter in the waist this season [ reading the reviews ]. I had to return my 12's for a 14. They may suit other boyish figures though.

Kikaninchen · 30/06/2014 13:04

Hmm, I certainly don't want something that's tighter in the waist!

I can't justify the cost of the Diesel ones though. Maybe for Christmas.

I know, they are really expensive. What about fatface? I think these look nice :)

Thanks, those are OK, but I'm not really blown away by them. They are fine though (but they just aren't my lovely wide legs )

Its very hard to get widelegs. You could try ebay and see if your old ones are listed?? I remember having flare jeans from next and then i lost weight and they were too big for me. I found a pair on ebay. Its worth a look.

Kikaninchen · 30/06/2014 14:22

I might have to go to H&M; I think I looked online before, but was totally flummoxed by their sizing system.

Good idea to look on ebay too, though they often won't post outside the UK.

Do you mean similar to this? There are loads on ebay and most post out of the UK.

Greengardenpixie · 30/06/2014 15:11

If you ask they may post. its probably your best bet at getting the jeans you had.

Kikaninchen · 30/06/2014 16:22

I think you're right - or I can get them sent to my mum and have her post them to me. I have found a pair exactly the same as mine, but they are long length. Will keep trawling.

OP posts:
Greengardenpixie · 30/06/2014 17:04

You could shorten them?

MaryQueenOfSpots · 30/06/2014 17:13

I am living in Sainsbury's boyfriend crop jeans

bishboschone · 30/06/2014 18:18

Dorothy Perkins do wide leg .

ZaraW · 30/06/2014 18:32

Anyone remember Dojo 7 For Mankind jeans? I used to live in mine and they were more flare than boot cut. Just had a look on E Bay and you can buy them for 40 pounds or less.
