Can anyone recommend me a dressmaker in London?

It's for my wedding dress, which will not be very traditional or complicated, but an ordinary knee-length dress pattern made up in cream silk. I can sew a little but I won't be able to make it perfectly.

Can anyone recommend someone? I live in Islington so north London would be great, but anywhere zone 1-3 could work. Also, a vague idea about price would be good...

There's one on Fulham Road but I can't remember the name. Heard good things about it.

This is the guy, Andy, that used to be on Gok Wan's TV programme. I haven't used him and I don't know about prices but he's local and has good reviews on his website, www.stitchin.biz/index.html

I know one in Tottenham. Shall I pm you her details? She made my bridesmaids dresses.

Thanks everyone. I'm not really looking for someone to design a dress, as I have found some patterns I like. Rather someone who has the skills to sew it up well. Is 'dressmaker' the right term for this?

yummychocolate - yes please!

It may be worth looking up 'seamstresses' as well.
