Olivia Palermo's wedding dress.

So what do we think of Olivia Palermo's wedding dress?

I've attached the photos for those who don't want to click on the DM website.

Of course she looks gorgeous as always but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the frock. Big pouffy skirt with jumper? It doesn't thrill me.

I normally love her style (whilst thinking she has a very Mean Girls vibe to her personality) so just expected something else.

She's very beautiful and could wear anything, but the dress reminds me of little girls dressing up with a bit of net curtain. It looks rather cobbled togetherConfused

ThursdayLast · 29/06/2014 16:59

It seems to be so very deliberately not-try-hard.

But she does look beautiful.

I never really got over her being mean to Whitney.

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 29/06/2014 17:00

It looks totally wrong in that I agree it looks homemade and thrown together, but I sort of like it. Better than a big, satiny, over engineered meringue.

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 29/06/2014 17:02

(I say that as a person who got married in a big, satiny, over engineered meringue!)

TKKW · 29/06/2014 17:02

i like the idea of it but wish the top was in a paler ivory and had some sort of detailing on it. The shoes and skirt are stunning together.

treaclesoda · 29/06/2014 17:02

She looks amazing in everything, doesn't she? Even this, which would look so dowdy on anyone else.

But she was a bit horrible to poor Whitney, wasn't she?

MuttonCadet · 29/06/2014 17:03

Jumper and bridal tulle? Erm no, but then I've never really liked her style.

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 29/06/2014 17:03

Whitney who? Who is this person anyway? I am totally oblivious

WildThong · 29/06/2014 17:04

What was the Whitney story?

MikeLitoris · 29/06/2014 17:05

She is obviously stunning but Wtf is that outfit? Looks like she is trying to hard to be laid back.

Yy to her being mean to poor Whitney. I bet her wedding dress will be much better. Same for Lauren Conrad. That's a dress I'm looking forward to seeing

treaclesoda · 29/06/2014 17:08

It was trashy MTV show 'The City', one of those faked, set up, 'real life' shows. This girl Whitney was wanting to work in the fashion industry and went to work on a magazine, or something, where Olivia Palermo was another employee and was the colleague from hell basically!

Watching it was my dirty secret Blush

ThursdayLast · 29/06/2014 17:41

Me too.
I could sit and watch reruns of The Hills for my whole life, for shame!
Ditto what Mike said about LCs dress Blush

BecauseIsaidS0 · 29/06/2014 17:44

Ugh, no. Sorry, but no. She could have done so much better, but is trying too hard to be "fashion". Also, the makeup is too strong.

Holidayfun · 29/06/2014 17:47

I love it. A welcome break from boring strapless wedding gowns that not many can get away with. She is stunning and so would probably look lovely in any outfit.

oliviafrombolivia · 29/06/2014 17:50

I love it, and wore something similar when i got married, but not as well!

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2014 17:52

I love it too, what a couple they make. He's pretty good in white.

CecyHall · 29/06/2014 17:53

I think I'd prefer it all one colour rather than cream and white.

And I really don't like the blue shoes with it.

But she'd have probably hated my dress (and to be fair so do I looking back!)

MaloryArcher · 29/06/2014 17:53

She is gorgeous but hate the outfit.

It's trying so desperately hard to be unconventional and 'fashion' yet looks like a Carrie Bradshaw effort circa 1999. Except Carrie's wouldn't have been as boring.

Vintagebeads · 29/06/2014 17:59

Lovely outfit, but the groom shouldn't out dress the bride and he does. Its all a bit ordinary.

I love her style on a normal day.She is so very beautiful but utterly evil all in one,I watched The City too,she was vile to Whitney just didn't like her for no reason and tried to sabotage her a good few times. Not nice traits.

dexter73 · 29/06/2014 18:21

I like her shoes.

flossy101 · 29/06/2014 18:25

I love it. Loved The Hills, The City & Laguna Beach Grin

RebeccaCloud9 · 29/06/2014 18:26

I love it - I think it looks modern and relaxed which sounds like the ceremony they went for. Wish I could pull it off as well as her!

(but agree, she was a cow in The City!) x

Leviticus · 29/06/2014 18:33

Love it. I can't imagine her doing a traditional or 'big' dress.
