don't think ballet flats will suit me as slightly too cute and tiny
don't want trainers as I have big feet (size 7) - but am tall
just want nice flat shoes to wear with trousers and jeans

why not boots?
look much better with trousers and jeans than shoes. Lots of very good ones around - try a flattish riding-boot style as they never date and look good on any size of foot. If you're flush then you can't beat Hobbs, but Jones Bootmaker and Clarks have some good options too.

I gave in last winter and ditched my leather not-quite-trainers for boots and can honestly say I looked much smarter.

Mum2FunkyDude · 08/09/2006 09:59

here Barretts stock most hush puppies

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:00

I am looking FG but I am finding nothing

JackieNo · 08/09/2006 10:02

Agree with MrsBadger about boots. Not completely flat, but how about these ?

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:02

yeah, I think boots too
do you like kangaroos?

like these?

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:04

Clarkes are usually great but I can't find anything...
more kanagaroos, I like these

JackieNo · 08/09/2006 10:05

Or a cheaper option (wedge heels are still in, right?)?

LiliLaTigresse · 08/09/2006 10:05

I love boots and have some lovely ones, but I'm not ready to wear boots now!
I like smart trainers but I never feel smart enough in them IYSWIM

dullwithc woudl say campers

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:08

yes I was going to say campers but tbh if your feet are a bit erm larger they can make you look like you are wearing a pair of canoes on your feet

LiliLaTigresse · 08/09/2006 10:08

mmmmm, am finding these kangaroos quite interesting
not sure about the little pink bow though

you might be interested to know at this point that my mum used to dread having to go shoe shopping with me

beginning to see why yet?

OP posts:
LiliLaTigresse · 08/09/2006 10:09

yes, I am trying to avoid the canoe look
also have rather narrow feet

OP posts:
harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:09

kangaroos are a good in between thing

coderoo · 08/09/2006 10:09

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2006 10:10

big narrow feet = not good for campers
imo

LiliLaTigresse · 08/09/2006 10:10
