What would you treat yourself to from M&S if you had c£100 to spend?

I am beside myself with excitement having received a very generous gift of m&s tokens- I haven't bought myself anything new of any note for years now (2 mat leaves and a career change = lots of charity shop shopping!)

I can't decide whether to buy a few smaller things, or blow the lot on a handbag or similar, since it'll be a while before I can do that type of shopping again!

So- value for money, lots of pants and tops and leggings and things, or one big quality splurge?! Is there anything that m&s does particularly well?

A black cashmere crew neck cardigan I wear mine loads

I'd stick up on pants and basics so you can spend your real cash elsewhere. My branch does some nice beauty brands these days as well (Bliss, Nuxe, Roger & Gallet) so that might be worth a look as well.

I don't mind their costume jewelry and scarves. You might find you get more wear out of these than a single outfit IYSWIM.

I would buy this bag

this perfume

and these trousers

I have them all and love them. They do those trousers in a nasty polyerstery thing too, but the cotton sateen ones are fab.

They have some great blazers too at the moment.

Definitely a pair of their 5 point white jeggings. They are £22.50. I have three pairs as they are just amazing. So comfortable. Just enough stretch, keep their shape and wash well!

Something homewares or from their 'new' beauty hall bit.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/06/2014 10:56

Food hall, and spend real money in other shops.

PeterParkerSays · 27/06/2014 11:02

I'd struggle tbh. I had £25 in M&S vouchers and ended up buying cookwear - that has lasted well though.

Depends on how big your nearest M&S is I guess.

ZaraW · 27/06/2014 11:47

I'm not a fan of M&S clothing I would probably spend it on some decent skin care.

squoosh · 27/06/2014 12:03

I'd spend in their beauty hall.

Some of the chunkier jewellery is ok and you can't go wrong with pjs and undies. Might find a nice bag but I find even their leather ones don't last

LauraPashley · 27/06/2014 14:05

Thanks all! Jewellery and bag was what I was leaning towards...I have a massive m&s not too far away but never go as never have anything to spend!

Dh reckons £100 of food is a good idea but I'd like to be able to keep what I get! Are their winter coats any good?
