Can you recommend a clear top coat that will stay put!

I have gel nails done every two weeks but my nails are starting to suffer, so I'm going to start painting them. Do you recommend a top coat that will ensure no chipping etc?

I agree with wildfig. Seche vite is the best.

Boots No.7 topcoat is ace, and dries so quickly too.

I also love the No.7 Stay Perfect top coat, works brilliantly, dries quickly and is far cheaper than most.

Can you use Seche vite on its own just as a clear polish? (Never heard of it until now). Clear polish is all I ever get round to would be good to find a long lasting one

Seche Vite does nothing for my nails, they still chip the next day. I don't know if it's the way I'm applying it. I never seem to have much luck with topcoats.

Another vote for Seche Vite. I buy it on ebay or similar for about 5 and a bottle lasts for months - I paint my nails 2-3 times a week. Lovely glossy finish too.

Either seche vite or Sally Hansen insta dri topcoat in the red bottle. It is good stuff. Dries quick and shiny but doesn't thicken like seche does.

Madboob no you can't. Seche vite is fairly unique in that it has to be put over wet polish. It'd be expensive and not last as long if you wore it alone.

I really rate the Sally Hansen Insta dry .

Seche Vite again. A home manicure will last a week with it on me.
