Would you wear a hat/fascinator to evening wedding do?

I have been invited to the evening do of quite a posh wedding.
I have never been to anything like that - in fact the last wedding I had was my own 10 yrs ago.
I do have a lovely dress, but wondered whether it would be expected to wear a hat or fascinator?

I probably wouldn't wear one and wouldn't think they'd want me to wear one either.

If you fancy wearing one then do but I doubt it is expected

BitOutOfPractice · 23/06/2014 10:42

No I wouldn't

Not for an evening do no. Hats/fascinators are usually removed when people sit down to eat so that would be during the wedding breakfast.

I wore an awesome hat for my grandparents wedding but, we was there for the entire day. A fascinator sounds like a more appropriate decision for the evening.

I LOVE BIG HATS AND WEDDINGS!

No, everyone will have taken theirs off by the time you get there.
