Its cool, its flippy, knee length. I have tried with a white t but looks odd.

Maybe try it with a metallic top? Metallic is a good neutral in my book.

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:12

aw ta Frankie - its the shape I cant get right.

OP posts:
frankietwospots · 23/06/2014 09:13

I'd say it would need to be quite fitted with maybe a boat neck to balance out the flippyness of the skirt?

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:16

yes. Really hard to find

plus - tits

OP posts:
DuchessFanny · 23/06/2014 09:16

I'd probably go for a boat neck too, maybe in black

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:19

yes- but skirt navy. I like the boat neck idea.

What about a white vest top and maybe a little cardi or a shrug?

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:23
  • I cant do vest tops at work. All my cardigans are longer and straight.

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:23

its a toughie isnt it?!

thanks for the help.

OP posts:
KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 09:28

Yup. I have the lavender in that. My problem might be solved

OP posts:
DuchessFanny · 23/06/2014 09:29

Ah yes, navy then ! I think that would look gorgeous.

frankietwospots · 23/06/2014 09:31

And that's just reminded me that I have that top in grey and have only worn it once. Time for a wardrobe re-shuffle methinks!

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 10:02

I've got this gorgeous honey-coloured fake-fur jacket that I bought nearly 2 years ago and have never worn once. I feel as if I look fat in it, for some reason. And that I just don't know how to style it.

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 12:02

cant you put with black skinnies?

OP posts:
BelindaAllWorkedOut · 23/06/2014 12:17

Karl - I would keep hunting for a plain, sort of fitted navy top and put orange accessories with it.

Koala - yes, skinnies sound good, how about pale distressed ones? Counter to the luxe fur look, the trashed jeans. I love fake fur.

KoalaDownUnder · 23/06/2014 14:35

I haven't got black or pale skinnies. Sad. I would love some pale ones and wouldn't mind them a bit distressed, but all the ones I've seen seem to be ripped to shreds and just look shite.

I've got cobalt blue skinnies. Do you think they'd look okay with, say, grey t-shirt, nude suede ankle boots and the fake fur jacket?

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 14:47

grey ones are nice - dunno how it would tone with the HOney though

OP posts:
KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 14:47

( btw this thread goes to prove you should never shop in shops that you dont belong in - hence the Fatface skirt in OP)

OP posts:
BelindaAllWorkedOut · 23/06/2014 14:52

Oh Karl, as I live and breathe - I did not expect a Fat Face skirt in your post! (says me who has just ordered shoes from Coast!)

KarlWrenbury · 23/06/2014 15:03

I was in there on a joyous Hmm shopping trip with h to get him to bin some naff t shirts, last summer , or maybe the year before.

impulse buy, you see.
is it the coast neon ones?

hollycomputer · 23/06/2014 15:05

I have a gorgeous green and white striped maxi skirt from Whistles which I bought two years ago but have barely worn because nothing looks right with it.
