Jersey blazers - yay or sooo last season?

I've just bought 2 blazers, one grey and one navy. They are jersey, so slightly less relaxed than a formal blazer. They are quite an 'edgy' cut.

Will it be wearing these for years to come, or will I regret?

I'm often needing a blue or grey jacket of sorts, only have leather and they're too wintry.

The look I try to achieve is a cross between Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss (I did say 'try' Grin).

TIA.

I don't think so! Link please!

I have just bought a beige/pinky one from River Island, I've had lots of compliments on it, and find it goes with anything.

Yes, link please. I have a 3 year old grey one and need to replace.

Sweetmotherfudger · 23/06/2014 07:30

I need one of these!

I find that jersey blazers are a wardrobe staple, especially come autumn. I have a Johnnie B (Boden teen range) navy one from years ago that I wear to death. Looks great with a big leopard scarf.

Thanks all! I can't link as they are Zara sale and not on-line anymore, they were a bargainous £35 each too.

They are proper blazers but because they are jersey and a trendy cut they do fit nicely.

I spent many years in suit, so I'm always a little averse to looking too smart.

I think I'll keep them. Wine

Ooh, I found the grey one, it's in beige but you'll get the gist.

That looks great. You won't regret buying that - very versatile.

PrincessOfChina · 23/06/2014 14:37

I like that. Out of stock in my size - a 14, but XL according to Zara :-(

permaquandry · 23/06/2014 15:42

I'm a 6-8 and had to buy a M (which is a 12, I think).

Do you all wear them with jeans? Straight leg or skinnies? I'm very late to the party I know.

frankietwospots · 23/06/2014 16:17

I wear my blazers with skinnies and either Converse style hi-tops or ankle boots. I'll be trying a blazer + slim boyfriend jeans this autumn I think.
