Summery dress for wedding - green, orange or yellow not floral/patterned?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me choose a summer dress for a wedding...
I am looking for something that is summery (green, orange, yellow kinds of colours would be good) but not beach-like and probably not floral/patterned.
I'm a size 10/12 and have pale skin, freckles, brown hair.
I quite liked these two as styles: green vintage and yellow jcrew but I'm loathe to pay £180 for a polyester dress (the first) and think the second style may be a bit too bridesmaid-like. I also quite liked this yellow boden lace one
Anyone seen anything that might work?? I will go 'proper' shopping soon but I would also like to try and minimise the chances of turning up in the same dress as someone else so hoping for some inspiration here!

The yellow jcrew dress looks great - not too bridesmaidy at all.

There are lots in Oasis which would fit the bill. I also very much like this yellow Warehouse one: www.warehouse.co.uk/panelled-broderie-lace-dress/dresses/warehouse/fcp-product/5563105681

I think it's the loveliest dress I've seen this year, but I have completely the wrong skin tone for it :(

I wore this recently and got loads of complements - good price as well.

Loads of ideas - thanks! The j-crew one is from last year unfortunately, it was just as an idea of things that I like.

I like the yellow warehouse one though I think it would be a bit short - I'm not keen on tights in summer and my legs are so pale that fake tan looks ridiculous. The yellow Coast one is pretty too even though I had sworn off them!

Suz, I agree that Oasis has many nice looking dresses but they never look right on me, I have quite an hourglass shape and their high waistlines usually mean I look waist-less (and possibly pregnant).

I unexpectedly like the chiffon one too, I really like the way that you have come up with shapes I wouldn't have looked at Tethersend. I usually like plainer shapes but the drapes on the model look good - though that one is sold out. The Hobbs one is bit fussy for me with the pleated bits across the bust and the one with a zip doesn't feel right for a wedding. I'd like to try on the other two, so will add HoF to my places to visit list!

I like Bden dress you linked to. Try it on see how it looks.

olaflikeswarmhugs · 22/06/2014 10:35

The third orange one tether posted is bloody stunning !!

SuperFlyHigh · 22/06/2014 11:18

The yellow warehouse one is great in real life.

TooMuchRain · 22/06/2014 11:50

Ok, the warehouse one is on the list to try on just in case it is long enough!

And the jcrew one possibly not so great in real life if this is it

Out of all those I like the Almost Famous dress, Boden Dress and Oasis dress.

The other ones tethers posted too are nice but don't think you could wear again whereas the 3 above I think you could wear again.

SuperFlyHigh · 22/06/2014 17:33

OP I agree with you re J Crew dress, overpriced. I'd only buy it in sales really and even then would think again.

TooMuchRain · 23/06/2014 13:44

I saw this so foxy one linked on another thread, but it's also synthetic - what is it with vintage style clothes and nasty material?
