If you have fair skin with olive undertones...what do you use on it?

I have fair skin that always has a yellow tone to it, not a pink/red one. I tan quick but can also burn if I'm not careful...but definitely am not a strong olive colour like some people are, it's more of an undertone. Does anyone else have this? If so what foundation do you use or a bb cream? I'm so confused. When 'olive' is described it's always the proper gold/brown colour. I'm not sallow skinned either it's just a tint. Mila kunis and I are a similar colour. Anyone have a clue in hell what I'm on about?

Have you tried the new Chanel les Beiges? I find that really works on my skin as it had yellow tones but is quite translucent. I love the fluid and the powder is nice too, though I'm not convinced I need the powder once the fluid is one. Definitely worth a look.

BabyBarrister- is mineral makeup any good then? I've always worried about getting that powdery look

I use either CLinique ivory or LOreal Cc cream for dull skin tones which I find excellent.

VarsityQueen · 20/06/2014 23:20

Golden Fair in Bare Minerals might work.

MrsFlorrick · 21/06/2014 00:13

Bellapierre mineral foundation in Cinnamon or nutmeg.

Here www.naturisimo.com/products_other.cfm?id=1976&nme=Bellapierre

I have very fair skin. I tan but can burn. I have no red or pink in my skin. The Bellapierre colours work for me.

Also Bare minerals in Golden works too.

Lily Lolo also do one in Butterscotch. It's too dark for me unless I'm very tanned. I think you're darker than me though so it might work for you.

Safmellow · 21/06/2014 12:29

I am the same with a light tan at the moment. Max Factor shade Golden suits me so I am currently using their 2 in 1 serum foundation. I also like Pure Magic Minerals which you can buy on Ebay or Amazon but haven't yet found the right shade so mix them together.

TulipOHare · 21/06/2014 12:37

I'm like that (I think) and have Bobbi Brown stick in Porcelain, perfect match for me.

Day to day I LOVE Missha Perfect Cover in shade 21, it's a BB cream but IMO more like a sheer foundation. It's really, really good. And cheap.

CastilianHhhhidalgo · 21/06/2014 13:23

I'm very pale with yellowish undertones. I've also got very oily skin so I use No7 Beautifully Matte foundation in calico. It's brilliant stuff, the first foundation I've tried which both looks good and stays on my face.

bluesbaby · 21/06/2014 19:37

I'm pale yellow. I use bella pierre in ivory, and the body shop concealer pencil in number 3. Maybelline do a good concealer too.

ShutTheFuckUpBarbara · 21/06/2014 21:47

No 7 bb cream in fair; not a hint of pink!

hydeparkhottie · 21/06/2014 23:30

I'm loving Tom Ford right now! most of his stuff is just amazing on my skin. (started using him 9 days ago and feel like throwing everything else away.)

Marmaladecat1 · 22/06/2014 08:48

I'm using No. 7 foundation in fair beige it's a good shade for my yellow skin.
It's the one in the grey tube

Mmeh · 22/06/2014 09:34

Your descriptions matches my skin exactly. I use Liz Earle's sheer skin tint in beige (no.2) and when really tanned I'll go up to the darker shade. It's great stuff, really light and sheer and gives skin that slightly dewy finish.

Mmeh · 22/06/2014 09:34

Sorry for poor grammar in first line!

Sunnyfeet · 22/06/2014 09:56

You've got the same skin as me, OP. I use either Compact Foundation in Fair by Clinique (a lot of their shades are yellow based rather pink based, and work really well for me) or Garnier BB cream in Light.

MyrtleDove · 22/06/2014 19:35

Actually olive skins have a green undertone to them - what get called 'olive' skins are often just plain yellow-toned skin. Bourjois foundation in the lightest shade should be a good match for you, it's definitely yellow-toned. Missha BB cream is good but is a bit pinkish.

Does your skin ever have a grey/ashen beige look to it? If not, it just has yellow undertones not olive ones.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/06/2014 21:09

Me - I am very pale yellow! I like Soap& Glory foundation in, The Fairest Of Them All.

caramelwaffle · 22/06/2014 21:14

I use Clinique at the moment. Very good for those with yellow undertones.

Prescritives is really very, very good but only available from America/ebay now.

caramelwaffle · 22/06/2014 21:14

*Prescriptives

polyhymnia · 22/06/2014 22:29

hydepark which Tom Ford foundation or whatever do you use?

I find Bobbi Brown generally very good for a wide choice of yellow based tones.

XiCi · 22/06/2014 22:37

We sound like similar colouring. I use channel vitalumiere in clair

XiCi · 22/06/2014 22:38

*chanel bloody autocorrect

selee · 23/06/2014 00:09

I love two products.
Nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser in Alaska. And I have similar skin tone to it. It's very natural yet soft and blowy and def yellow based
Also love Bobbi brown Skin foundation in Warm beige 3.5

Both natural yet light but good coverage.
