Where are all the black tops hiding?!?!

I want a couple of really nice black tops to wear with jeans for evening. I really do want black, or dark at least. No contrasting colours.

Been looking today and found a solitary nice one in Topshop sale but it was too big (last one).

My style is a bit Janis Joplin and a bit librarian, I am short, size 12 and have giant boobs so have to be careful. Seen anything good anywhere?

they are all in my DD's drawer! She gets loads in Zara.

That Massimo Dutti top is lovely but I would struggle to find something that would be more unflattering on me! In my five foot nine b cup fantasy wardrobe it would be a shoo in.

I never look in Zara as I have historically had ishoos getting my boobs in their stuff, they seem to cut wide in the back iyswim. Will give them another go as I do like their clothes.

We don't have a Cos but I will have a look online.

Wally can you link the tops in Cos, I must have passed them by because I find it's a shop for apples and straight up and down body types, my hourglass shape is not suited to their clothes - but I love the look.

I got two nice black tops in tkmax last week. I think the key to success is to go in on a mission and just focus on what you need rather than browse in there.

Urgh our tk maxx is enormous and horrible :( but it's probably a good idea. I just want nice black tops! Why so hard, shops?

I'm with rainyday on Cos - just looked at the site, it's very much a specific look and the shapes are all wrong for me. Also they are too stark/geometric to fit my style. Nice though!

I have this top from Cos and it's very flattering. I am a H cup and it really skims and flatters a large bust.

OP said she was big up top, not sure where she said she was curvy. I'm not curvy, I'm top heavy so I don't really look for clothes that fit curvy figures, but ones that fit me?

The one thing with COS is that you do benefit from trying things on, the way the clothes are merchandised on their website are a very specific look.

Mint Velvet always have a lot of black regardless of the season too op.

Mmm plum the Dorothy Perkins pleated back top is gorgeous.

I find this top is surprisingly flattering on my 28g boobs! I think it's the cap sleeves that give the illusion of smaller boobs despite it having an almost crew neck.
