Wear a jacket/cardigan that can be washed in case beer is spilled on it.

it's a bit dull though if i just dress as i normally do, no?

it's an acoustic act-quite famous
don't want to say more than that!

most of the people there will be my age or older i guess[woo hoo-living the high life!Grin }

don't wear uncomfy shoes, you may be standing even if you have a seated ticket. wear something cool, or with layers you can take off if it gets a bit hot. something warm for when you leave the gig. and a smile. and don't worry about what you're wearing, nobody will be looking at you! envy you being tall, I'm a short arse and always get stuck behind the tall people!

gymboywalton · 20/06/2014 08:27

it will definitely be a standing gig-no seats i shouldn't think

being tall is good but also has it's downsides-can never find a sleeve long enough for example!

then be comfy. gig goers don't really give a monkeys what you're wearing Grin they're there for the music

sacbina · 20/06/2014 08:31

and no sleeves Grin

I think jeans and converse are pretty much go to clothes for a gig.

If you want to look a little different than usual you can do a slightly smarter combo - dark jeans with your converse, a top that isn't just a band t shirt, put your hair in a high ponytail (or out of your face) and whack some red lipstick on.

But normally for a gig...well I used to go in either jeans and a t shirt, or a tutu, or a corset....

Jeans sound ideal, you may sit on the floor at some stage so I generally take a easily washable cardi or something like that to sit on or if it gets chilly when you come out. Cross body bag so you don't have to think about it and your comfiest shoes - converse sound great, that aren't tight in case your feet swell bit in heat or from standing

Enjoy your evening.

Jeans, cons, vest top (I have a black slightly sparkly one), cardi and scarf and jewellery. Oh and either so little stuff it fits in my jeans pockets or an across the body bag.
