Best hairbrush for dd?

DD is 4yo and has thick wirey hair which hangs straight ish with a a few wispy waves. Her grandparents are Mediterranean so she has inherited that tangy European sort of hair.
We've been using a tangle teezer but need something a bit more heavy duty now. She likes wearing it down but it gets so windblown and tangly, I'm really struggling with it. Its about halfway down her back but any suggestions of cutting it are met with horror as she wants to 'grow it as long as Elsa'. What kind of hairbrush won't hurt but will get the tangles out?

Boar bristle brushes are very good to use
