Recommendations for where to get 8 year old's ears pierced in North London

I've been told to avoid Claire's like the plague, but don't really want to take DD to a piercing/tattoo shop as that will freak her out!

My sisters went to Selfridges, and I'd've taken her there, but they don't do it anymore!

Any suggestions?

You should really be thinking about taking your daughter to a reputable studio. All tattoos are done in a separate room to reception/piercing room (or at least they should be!)

Selfridges and Claires are 6 of one, half a dozen of another. The reason why you hear not to go there is because they use guns to pierce. These are unsafe and not sterile. You will almost certainly get people who tell you they were pierced there and were fine but they are the lucky ones! I've heard countless stories of trouble from piercing guns.

Allow me to recommend Needle FX in Camden, they are very clean and professional.

My daughter and I both had ours done at fenwick in Brent cross. Wouldn't go any where else. She was 10 when I let her have them done. It was part of the hair and beauty salon on the top floor. Hope that helps!

DD1 had hers done by the beauty therapist at our hairdressers. She did a fantastic job.
