Despite all the warnings about h&m online I still placed an order 2 orders came fine and arrived within a week, still a it slow, but compared to some nightmares I have read about with them, I thought it was ok. So got confident and placed another order, well its not been despatched, says estimated delivery between 9-13th June dates been and gone and still not despatched. Gutted, woman on the phone was not helpful at all. She just basically said it will despatch when it despatches!

I have another month before it is really needed, but not the point.

Why are the stores so dire, when they have some lovely stuff online, I have been to Reading and Basingstoke and both were rubbish for older girls and boys wear, despite Basingstoke being a dedicated childrenswear store.

pair of trousers ordered on may 23rd not due till end of June
WTF

plentyofshoes · 17/06/2014 17:28

Chinos by any chance? Two pairs plus a top, end of June. Summer will be over by the time they arrive.

KarlWrenbury · 17/06/2014 17:32

yup

Lizzylou · 17/06/2014 17:49

I've never had a problem with H&M for my clothes, only when ordering for boys.
Definitely a lot slower than other stores though.

plentyofshoes · 17/06/2014 18:39

They had better be good after the wait! Would have been easier to just go to the shop after all.

NorbertDentressangle · 17/06/2014 18:41

I found this too with the one or two orders I've placed. Never again.

I don't understand why they're so slow though? Where is it dispatched from?

Anjou · 17/06/2014 18:42

They are beyond awful! Over the years I've given them a handful of chances and regretted it. The last order I placed was for a pair of maternity jeans when I was 4months pregnant with DS2. They arrived when he was 2 months old. Shock They don't charge you until the item dispatches so I'd completely forgotten about it. Grin

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 17/06/2014 18:49

If I could buy the items in store I would have done but nothing in either store near me in dd's size and the stuff that has come do far has been lovely. Cute playsuit a, shorts and dresses trendy enough to keep 8yr old dd happy but not do grown up that I don't like them. Took the plunge and ordered for third time and now nothing.

Has put me off but so much nicer clothing online and even though only an hour from the huge Piccadilly one I don't want to go to Central London to buy cheap clothing for dd.

I've used them loads and never had a problem

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 19/06/2014 09:21

It's now moved to processing and they've reclaimed the money from my account so I guess will be about a week before I actually receive the order.

It's so disappointing. Mind you it really bugs me how these stores have such lovely stuff online but when you go in store nothing you've seen online is there. This has happened with Zara and next not just h&m but at least zara and next deliver quickly.

I agree OP. I had a surprise night out and had seen no less than 5 different outfits online that I fancied.

Went into store- they were either non-existent or only in size 8. Useless.

Also ordered clothes online for Dd and it turned out that they advertise clothes online that isn't actually in stock for another month or so. Useless for us as she needed the clothes within a week or so rather than a month.

Don't know how they can get it so wrong.
