London curly hairdresser recommendation for my first curly haircut!

I have very fine wavy/curly hair - prob type 2b/2a. I have never had it cut in a curly style (am 34), always cut wet and blow dried straight. Looks fab when I leave the hairdressers but I can never recreate the look at home without resorting to GHD's and then I get the uber straight almost spiky at the ends look!
I have now grown my hair to just above boobs and feel that I have a bit more hair to play with in terms of a cut. I would love to get a decent curly hair cut where I can look 'done'. In my mind to look polished and professional I need neat straight hair that I can brush. I want to get away from this mindset and for once try and embrace what I naturally have.
Is it actually possible though to have curly hair and have a neat style??
I have 2 DC now and most days my hair ends up tied back with a few curls hanging loose at the front.
I have never tried the CG method as my hair is prone to be quite oily at the top and very dry at the ends. I'm on a lot of medication and at times this makes me prone to hair loss so I am currently using the Nioxin hair range.
Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser for curly hair in London? I am based in North London and prepared to travel and pay what it costs for a great cut.
It sounds silly but I really am quite scared of this and new hairdressers, that's why I end up returning to my usual hair dresser who always cuts in a straight style. Thanks!

I can recommend Fernando at Glass Salon which is literally round the corner to the Barbican tube.

He was recruited by a friend who used to own the salon ( but doesn't any more although she still uses it for her own hair) and has been there for 10 years. He's a brilliant cutter - I don't have curly hair but he does!

The salon is a great 'find' in my opinion. Only around 5 stylists but they are all good. Renee is good too but was recently on maternity leave - but could be there part time soon.

Prices are very reasonable.

Thanks Lazysummer! I will take a look, the Barbican is only about 30 mins away from me too so very handy!
