Barbara Daly Facelift Moisturiser discontinued grr - I can't find a substitute

The stuff is marvellous and always got great reviews so of course it's been discontinuedAngry

I used it on its own over Nivea blue pot as a tinted moisturiser or under foundation and it gave a lovely subtle glowy effect and really worked on my yellow toned skin. It was a goldy colour rather than pink.

I am now searching for a replacement. Aldi Shimmering Day Cream looked similar (and even more of a bargain) but I gather that's no longer easy to come by either.

I am resigned to having to pay a bit more but nothing seems quite right. So far I am thinking either Mac Strobe Cream, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector or the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. Any views on these or any other ideas gratefully received Smile

It was a cheap version of a Bobbi brown one for megga bucks. Our tesco stopped stocking BD productsSad

By Terry Sheer Expert is gorgeous but $$$. Mac face and body with a tiny bit of strobe cream mixed in would be more economical in the long run.

Yep Dame mine too so I emailed Tesco and they confirmed. It's a shame, there were some really good products and great value. My mum is also furious, we went through tonnes of that moisturiser between us!

Asda did do a liquid gold ish highlighter, that would work mixed into foundation
Or revlon skin lights in bare is lovely
I might have some of that shimmering day cream somewhere...

goodasitgets · 16/06/2014 01:46

I do Smile
If you want I will happily send you the shimmering day cream. I've used a bit but there's loads left. Can chuck in a benefit gold highlighter that doesn't work for me (mix it with normal moisturiser or stick on cheekbones)
PM me if you want it
