Can I buy Boden girls jeans for myself? I am not a girl!

I'm looking at a pair of jeans for a 16yo. The waist is 30.5-32 inches which is about my size in adult jeans. Has anyone had any success/disaster buying from their girls section for themselves. I am a 39 yo - size 12-14.

If it's in the children's section then presumably it'll be cut differently to adult jeans. Do you have no hips? If so, they might fit you OK.

Yes, cut differently IME.

For example, arms are shorter in Boden kids clothes, even tho the waist or chest size are correct. Or the length of the top is shorter (but then I am very long-waisted).

I have tried on stuff belonging to 14yo DS1 from the mini Boden range (when they did 13-14 yrs) and it never fitted properly. Too big here, too small there.

This is Johnnie B? I've had jeans from there (skinnies) but it was a few years ago. They were OK, very stretchy, they fitted but weren't that forgiving to my wobbly bits (I'm a 10-12 but not built like a teenager).

Read the reviews to see if they come up unusually small, if not, give them a try. Free returns so no risk.

I'm a shortarse so I can wear children's clothes but not jeans. I've a mini boden sweatshirt that is age 12 and my dh has one age 16. Massive it is. I wouldn't buy jeans though as like the others have said, they will be cut for a child.

Hmm - thanks for the quick replies. I am quite a wobbly beast so they may not be cut right for my ripples (though I am quite slender hipped:) ). Possibly I should give them a miss........

JB is more a teens range than a children's range. Mini B only goes up to age 12 or so now. I agree that Mini B is cut for kids (although I bought two wool jumpers from the Mini boys' range last winter and they fit me beautifully!) but JB can work for adult women. Their ribbed vests are BRILLIANT, I have three and two more on order and have to resist buying more still.

I've got a pair of johnnie b skinny jeans in khaki green. They fit fine and I've got hips! I'm a size 10 normally and fit the 30 but I do need a belt I guess the waist doesn't go in as much as woman's jeans and I have quite a small waist.
They're quite long in the leg - I took a couple of inches off the regular ones even though my inside leg measures 30 normally.
I also find them tight in the calf, but I have big calves.
Hope that's useful.

I've never bought anything from Boden. I wear teenage clothes from H&M all the time, especially jeans.
