Altering trousers- Gap chinos just keep a grown

Can any of you help?! I have Gap chinos and sized right down. They stretch so much over the course of a day's wear and the waist is too big so they gape and the bum slips down and bags. I've had them too long and washed them once so don't feel I can take back (no receipt either). So, given I have no sewing machine and limited talent, can I take them in successfully and any recommendations on methods? Saw this no cut thing
but could end up pretty lumpy. Dress maker likely to cost more than trousers but I refuse to give up on them just yet (tight fisted!)

Can anyone advice if these (lovely pistachio coloured) bloody stretching, builders bum flashing garment can be rescued?? TIA

Take them back. I have done with many trousers as they are not for for purpose if they fall down by the end of the day !
