I have looked in all the highstreet shops and supermarkets. There is one suitable in M&S, which i have ordered and will collect tomorrow.

She is tall and a size 8-10. Too old for some of the girls tankinis size wise, and too young for a more grown up bra style top. Well, she would feel self conscious as developing a (prob a-b cup now)

Last summer we got two sets in Peacocks. It seems very limited this year allround.
Adult tankinis cover too far down, might as well have a swim suit, but this is for a holiday abroad.

they look lovely, she would love the striped one best.

am concerned that they are prob a bit long/cover too much torso, but will have her look at them. thanks.

I'm not quite sure what she's after - halfway between a bikini top and a tankini top?

Would this be too short?

piratecat · 13/06/2014 20:58

yes inbetween, though the ones we got last year were prob a fluke shape tbh.

that's pretty. will show dd.

i guess she is looking for more of a sports bra style top. something with coverage and vest straps.

more this sort of shape?
still short
Oooh, this sort of thing? the sizing has me flummoxed though

MrsLettuce · 13/06/2014 21:18

I took that one to be 'girly', but yeah, topshop is well worth a good root about

rideyourbike · 13/06/2014 21:19

Next girls ones are nice and go up to age 16.

piratecat · 13/06/2014 21:30

MrsLettuce, the last one is nearer the basic style she liked last year.

Oldcatlady, though that is girly, the pattern being as it is moves it up a rating!

I know dd sounds fussy, but she is having a difficult time getting her head around top halves having to actually be serviceable now! combined with not wanting anyone to know she has a female form!

plus she's a punk/rock chick type atm and would love to wear black skinny jeans in 35c degree !!

Try a s o s. They have some gorgeous ones and sporty types too. They even have long sleeve tops more surferstyle and do a lot of mix and match so good value.

garfysgirl · 13/06/2014 22:09

asos hope this works in new ha.

RufusTheReindeer · 13/06/2014 22:12

I am crap at linking but I have just bought dd one from next

It's got a short cropped top and short shorts...if that makes any sense

And it comes with a zip up rash vest, it's pink and dark purple...I think Hmm

She is 12 (but with the body of a woman) and loves this style
