What do you carry all your family's things to the beach in?

This is our first year without taking a buggy to the beach on hols so we need to carry the stuff ourselves - towels, drinks, warm layers, snacks for four people = tons of stuff. An IKEA bag would do the trick very unstylishly. Any smarter but not too expensive options?

I like a string bag for the beach.

I find the large supermarket bags (50p/£1) are brilliant - really capacious and light, albeit very unstylish.

An Ikea bag! You see loads. It's a bit like Eddie Stobart spotting

I have the "Charlotte" beach bag by the Old Bag Company
www.theoldbagcompany.co.uk/New-Catalogue/Canvas-Range
It's fabulous, holds loads, has pockets for bottles, magazines etc and a waterproof pocket for swimming stuff.

A string bag for the buckets etc. as the sand falls off as you walk. I've also used a small suitcase on wheels, and sat DS on it to go back to the car at the end of the day if he's really tired.

Canvas Boden job. Handles are long enough to carry it on my shoulder leaving hands free.

A Hoppa shopping trolley fits everything in

The huge lou harvey beach bag.

We use a Pack and Roll folding trolley for heavy stuff like picnic bag - though you can't easily wheel it on the sand. Gets you from car park to beach though and it folds flat in the car.
