Need a holiday wardrobe for tall apple with massive tummy

I need to lose 2 stone but it ain't happening anytime soon.

I am 5' 9" and an apple shape. From the back I don't look too bad, but have a massive tummy. DD2 is 10 months and I'm still BF. Legs okay below the knees and quite like my arms. I'm 43.

On MAT leave so currently wear skinny jeans, vest and massive baggy jumper most days, or cardi to cover worst of the bumps on a warm day.

I'm good with footwear, it's clothing I'm useless at in summer.

What the hell do I wear for summer holidays when it's going to be warm, maybe even hot?

I shop in Gap, H&M and supermarkets!

I'm a large 14 and very similar shape to you. Last year I bought a lovely maxi dress in Fatface (sort of like this ) and I lived in it all summer long.

If you can find something that sits under the boobs and skims the tummy without looking like maternity wear, that is the holy grail Grin

I think we have exactly the same figure,I am the same height and carry almost all my weight on my belly. I am also still breast feeding and dress as you describe.

What type of holiday are you going on? Do you need beach wear or sightseeing stuff. What will you be doing in the evenings

soupmaker · 10/06/2014 22:35

We are off to Jersey and France. It'll be a mix of sight seeing, beach and visiting family. We have 2 DDs. Both water mad so I'm going to have to have beach wear, groan.

I basically look like I'm pregnant from front and side but it's all wobble. I really can't do maxi dresses. I look 8 months gone!

Something in cotton that will skim like this (found on Ebay): Boden?

I really need to try one so not one for eBay purchasing. Quite like the idea of dresses.

Posted too soon, I meant to say they are very flattering, in fact I went a bit daft and bought 3 different colours.

soupmaker · 11/06/2014 19:31

Was in TKMaxx today. Bought a pink sweater, to go with all the other sweaters! Halternecks not my bag. But can see why those dresses would flatter.

I plan on a variation of what I currently wear, cropped trousers and oversized tops. Some one linked to this which I am going to try on. It looks good for breastfeeding. Next and gap have good lines in cropped trousers.

soupmaker · 14/06/2014 18:31

Thanks Lucked. I normally give Zara a body swerve. Will try Gap for trousers.
