Day and night creams that make your face look alive

I am searching for a face cream that will brighten up my dull tired looking face. I don't mind spending money on it if it works.

A friend suggested Guerlain midnight secrets, anyone used it?

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I use espa rejuvenating day moisturiser. Gives me a lovely glow!

I've heard good things about an Origins one, I think it's called VitaZing? Have not tried it though.

I am using Olay 3 point Regenerist cream and really like it.

Without wishing to lower the tone of the thread...
Superdrug vitamin E SPF 15 moisture radiance cream, mixed with No 7 triple protection tinted moisturiser for an ordinary school run kind of day. Three parts Superdrug to one of No 7.
It"s a fabulous combination, a bit of coverage and a bit of sparkliness.
You can dress it up a bit with a splodge of Nanoblur (upping the ante again) if you have problem pores.

I'm about to lower the tone more. Astral is amazing. And £1.

Origins Vitazing is great! Was a recommendation from another MNetter. It's fantastic, v glowy. Is £28.00 but I have repurchased it as I think it's worth it. You can west it on its own or under foundation. You could probably get a sample and try it but I think it's great!

£££ but I have had some success when the purple Lancôme one - but if it's a real glow you are after I would tackle your cleansing regime first (ignore if you are already I a good routine)

fuckinglondonballs · 10/06/2014 19:52

Yes make sure your cleansing is good! And use a clarifying, exfoliating toner.

I like oils at night. Currently using Aesop parsley seed and Clarins lotus oil.

Started using a vitamin C serum in the morning as well as Hydraulon before moisturiser (Estée Lauder day wear, oil free).

I have recently bought a three piece Philosophy pack from boots and the woman threw in a load of samples. It is the best stuff I've ever used (it's the miracle range) my skin is glowing. In the pack were retinol pads, eye cream and miracle worker cream. I've also tried a range of serum/micro delivery bits and bobs and with the exception of the cleanser I am totally converted (can't afford it all but there are offers on qvc and the philosophy website too). I have tried LOADS of skin are ranges, clarins, Clinique, eve lom, hydraluron, you name it. But this has been a game changer for me.

Ooh thanks ladies some good recommendations here.

I do think I need to be more vigilant with the toner, cleanser routine.

I find a beauty flash balm works wonders as does a serum.

My moisturiser is Elemis, I have very dry skin and tested out many!

fiorentina · 10/06/2014 22:10

Contrary to other opinions I haven't found Origins Vitazing so great so far. I've preferred other of their products over the year. I certainly rate their exfoliators for example,
giving me more of a glow.

francesthebadger · 10/06/2014 23:52

Elemis pro-radiance balm/YSL Touche Eclat Foundation.
