Which colour converse....or are trainers the way forward?

I've been shopping today and was very tempted by a royal blue pair of converse. Didn't have them in my size, so saw that as a sign I wasn't meant to have them.

Now thinking about ordering some but can't decide if a pristine white pair would be best. They are to wear with jeans, skirts, shorts, trousers, pretty much everything.

What do you think, would a pair of white be best or maybe a navy?

Then started thinking, maybe a pair of bright trainers would be best. But are these just a short term thing, don't want to invest cash if I'm not going to be wearing them for very long.

I'd go for navy. White can look dirty very quickly but at the same time look too new in their box fresh state. I'm not a converse wearer but dd brought pink that go with hardly anything then red and now navy which go with most things.

I love navy, grey or burgundy.

White gets too filthy. Black looks too much like my awful school gym shoes.
