Highlighting my hair at home...?

Has anyone done this? Can't really afford time/money to get it done professionally... What products do you use and how do you do it? I usually have bleach plus a lighter and a darker blonde out in.

Anyone? My roots are so long they could cause subsidence...

It's tricky highlighting your hair at home.
Almost impossible to do it with foils .

The caps that you get in home kits aren't really tights enough to get right to the roots.

Use Garnier multi lights, no cap you just brush it on with the wand supplied.
