what are cankles and how do I know if I have them?

Cankles are basically fat ankles . As in ankles that are the same width as calves . Calf-ankles = cankles

It's when calf and ankle are no longer two clearly defined parts of the body, and have merged into one "cankle"

But, only other people have them ..... Well, that's my line and I'm sticking to it!

My legs segue straight into my feet, without bothering with any intervening joint, and always have - was like this as a skinny 20-something as well as now, when I am fat and middle-aged.

There's a reason I wear trousers. My cankles.
