summer shoes for those who walk everywhere?

I wear through cheap ballet pumps etc really quickly - so any recommendations for good brands/styles of nice looking summer shoes that work with dresses/skirts/shorts and stand up to heavy use?

I can't wear ballet pumps , too flat for me and no cushioning.

I got a pair from M&S (in their outlet) that have a really chunky sole .
But for major walking, I wear Converse or some cushion sole sandles (love FlyFlot, I really need a new pair)

It's really hard to find summer shoes that will take a lot of walking. I don't walk as much as I used to, but I remember getting backache after an afternoon of the wrong shoes.

Your options are limited I'm afraid. It's Birkies or Clarks. To be fair, Clarks have some decent options.

Heavenly feet or fitflop. Just got a slider lulu paur of fitflops. so comfy. I have a high bar when it comes to comfort.

I'm afraid I stick with walking sandals - I have wide feet which are pretty painful so can't get along with anything else. I wish I could find pretty ones but they are all clompy and ugly. Bloody comfortable though.

Sketchers Go Walk. The most comfortable shoes in the world ever. I also have a pair of Earth Spirit sandals that I bought last year that are unbelievably comfortable. I don't think they are available any more, but this is what they look like. I had a lot of compliments when wearing them.

I wear driving shoes & pumps with rubber soles and padded insoles. I get mine from Kennel & Schmenger.

bikeskirun I own a pair of these, can absolutely endorse their longevity, as in don't want to confess how long I've worn my current pair!

Tk maxx have some earth spirit sandals here, they're really comfy. Otherwise I wear a lot of vivobarefoot shoes, the kali style are more cushioned than the Jing jing but wider and generically chunkier looking. I also have my eye on some merrell glove ones like these.
