How can I lose 7lbs without too much pain?

I'm reasonably slim, but I'd like to drop 7lbs; I have a pot belly I want to get rid of.
The things I've thought of are Aqua ban water retention tablets and a good pair of Spanx!

How can I lose my tummy?

To lose a pound a week you will need to create a calorie deficent of 250 calories per day. So you can examine your diet and see what, if any, snacks you can cut out and/or reduce portion sizes or you can make sure you exercise everyday and create a deficent. I recommend a combination of both to lose 2 pounds a week especially if its just a small belly you have to use- by doing core exercises your abs will create a better foundation for your body and your belly will not be as noticeable. With just exercise your belly may not stick out as much even without much actual weight loss.
Also i would recommend cutting out high carb foods; mainly bread and pasta.

Carbs hold onto water which is why cutting then out will make you look less bloated.
Apologies if you know all this already and i'm boring you...

I lost about 10lbs last summer without too much pain (and have kept it off). Actually I lost over a stone but that was too much so put a few pounds back on.

I cut out the unhealthy snacks (mainly biscuits for me), made sure I really did stop eating when I was starting to get full, ate healthily and ran 5k a couple of times a week.

I've relaxed a bit on the diet now but still try to run 2-3 times a week.

I also started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred during the winter when cold, dark and wet and I didn't fancy running - that's been great for my muscle tone. I'm doing that about 3 times a week because I like the effect!

If you don't need to lose much weight (i.e. there's not that much fat covering your abs) you should start to see results after a week or two on Jillian.

You can do it - I feel so much more like myself having lost those extra pounds. Not many other people noticed but I was doing it for me anyway.

For your little pot belly I recommend a ab thing from Argos it's only £10 and it helps with sit ups I can easily do 200 in the morning and 200 at night and what a difference it's made Smile

30 day shred definitely, I am 7 days in and already seeing results.

My mum has done the 5:2 diet and she has lost a stone. I didn't believe it would work tbh, but I had to eat my hat.

Exercise is the best way to get rid of stubborn tummy fat in my experience. I got rid of mine after childbirth by doing 1 hr exercise a day (I just used a treadmill), cut out refined carbs replace & with complex carbs, only goat or sheep for dairy, and not much sugar apart from fruit.

Abs and triceps are the hardest to tone, you would need cardio to lose the fat and abdominal workout to tone and shape your tummy, Pilates help a great deal as it strengthen your core,

Lots of research seems to point towards carbs/processed food for making you lay down abdominal fat rather than fat elsewhere, so presumably cutting consumption of those would help. I would go for general strength/fitness training rather than just obsessive ab exercise.
