Superdrug hot cloth cleanser

I've read on here that they are good. Are they worth bothering about ? I have an oily nose, but dry patches elsewhere. I recently been using an Avene mask, but it's made my skin horrible, so I want to treat it. Also, if I get a Superdrug hcc, is there one in particular I should get ? Thanks.

I love hot cloth cleansing (or washing your face with a flannel, as has been established on here).

However, having tried several, many of which were far too harsh and left me with painful cysitic spots (which I've always been prone to) I've been using Aqueous cream with the hot cloths for the last 3 months and I have better skin than I've ever had in my life.

Thanks, but I don't like the consistency/smell of aqueous cream. [fussy].

Anyone else know about the Superdrug hcc ?

I like the Superdrug naturally radiant HCC (I've tried the vitamin E as well but I prefer the consistency of this one). I have dry skin and it doesn't dry it out. I also love that it's cheap and frequently on offer. I've used Liz Earle HCC in the past but I think the Superdrug ones are just as good.

That's my fallback when I run out of coconut oil. Yes, it's nice and does the job. Mine's the naturally radiant one. Prefer oil though!

I love the superdrug radiance one. Lots of people say the vitamin e one is good too. I have combination skin and the radiance one is perfect for me.

I love the superdrug hot cloth cleanser. Its great value for money and suits my sensitive skin. I switch between cleansers, some are more expensive than others, but I always have this in. I dont always use it with a hot flannel especially if my skin is more problematic but rinse it off with water

Blithereens · 08/06/2014 19:26

It does come with a muslin but most of the time I just use a microfibre cleaning cloth flannel soaked in hot water and wrung out :)

Love the Superdrug natural radiance hot cloth cleanser. It has really improved my skin.

I used Liz Earle for years, then tried the Superdrug Radience - it's not as chalky (IIRC the Liz Earle one has a clay , maybe white clay)

After a thread on here, I use Good Things Manuka Honey .
Lovely, rich, creamy, smells gorgeous and cleans off everything.

I'm 48yo my skin is fairly well behaved, but it helps with any congestion and I don't need an exfoliant.

Thanks everyone. I'm going shopping tomorrow, so think I'll give the radiance one a try. It's buy one get one half price online, so hopefully it will be the same in the shop.

It was on offer the other day when I was in the shop. I normally use the radiance one but have bought the vitE to try this time...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/06/2014 10:09

You can buy lovely flannels in wilkos for 33p each do you can buy a whole stack and use a fresh one every day for hcc.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 09/06/2014 10:10

Just discovered the Superdrug range. Like it a lot. Had Liz Earle before and I'd say it's just as good.

Naicecuppatea · 09/06/2014 10:44

I've used both the Superdrug Vit E one and the radiance one. I prefer the Vit E one as it feels richer on my skin and smells wonderful.

squoosh · 09/06/2014 11:13

I dislike both of the Superdrug cleansers. Liz Earle is awful too.

I like balm to oil cleansers best.

WaitMonkey · 12/06/2014 09:17

Thanks for the advice. I bought the radiance cleanser and an eye thing, since it was buy one get one half price. Love the smell, hopefully they will help my skin.

I find it dries my skin out and gives me spots, too. Usually I have quite good skin. That was the vitamin E one, the radiance one might be better. A pity, as it did smell nice. Back to cold cream for me!
