Going to a new hair salon?

Since my amazing hairdresser emigrated the bastard I haven't been totally happy with my new stylist so I'm thinking of trying somewhere new.

I'll have to book on the phone so how do so know who to ask for. I don't know anyone who goes there to ask for a recommendation. Is getting the most senior person usually the best bet?

Also are there any tips for my first visit? Do I tell them about my hair care routine or doesn't it make a difference?

I'd rather go to a new dentist.

Not sure and I am in the same position. I usually ask for the senior stylist, but decided that this time I will go with whoever they give me (prob someone junior) and see how it goes. I'm happy with my current style, so just want someone who can tidy it up.

Thanks Bagel I've taken the plunge and booked in for a cut and colour. The woman who answered the phone was really lovely and recommended someone.

Fingers crossed I finally find someone I can stick with.
