Day at the races (Goodwood) What to wear? Fascinator? Hat? Help!

I am going to a Hen do at Goodwood and am at a loss as to what to wear. I'm guessing at a smart day dress but don't know if I need to wear a hat/fascinator, heels or not. It's an all day thing that extends into a club night (gulp)
SO, any help would be gratefully received.

3 friday nights, we are in the Richmond Enclosure I think. I really really don't want to look like an idiot if I'm all done up to the nines and everyone else is quite casual.

Richmond enclosure is quite posh. I won tickets once and wore a DvF dress and a pink feather fascinator (oh and my boobs out as I was breastfeeding at the time!).
